Eldera's Guiding Principles

What makes Eldera special is YOU. 

We’re honored to build Eldera alongside each and every one of you. Together, we're building not just a company, but a new social infrastructure: One that will change the way we think about aging. Across generations and nations, we’ll shift aging from a burden to a global opportunity.

To achieve our vision of unlocking the time and wisdom of 1 billion older adults in service of all generations, we must choose every day, in every new member, partner, teammate, and line of code to follow the right principles. 

So we invited you, our members, to help us establish the principles that Eldera is built upon, and the below are our seven guiding statements:

1. Eldera is a place where everyone, regardless of age, gender, religion, race, education or economic status can feel valued, needed, and welcome to make a difference.

2. We want to grow old in a world where we all matter, so we are building it together.

3. What is good for our members is good for Eldera.

4. We focus on increasing the good, rather than decreasing the bad.

5. We do not accept anything as impossible.

6. We use technology to protect our humanity and create connection.

7. We build joy in everything we do.

Please continue to keep us responsible for upholding these principles and guide us when new ones need to be added to benefit our community and our vision.
